Another day, another round of headlines at the combine. You know the drill! Time to get caught up. Here is what you missed:

Jadeveon Clowney ran a 4.53 which is among the fastest ever for a player his size. Without a shadow of a doubt he is the BEST player in this class.
Jadeveon Clowney ran his 40 but didn’t participate in position drills.
Michael Sam ran a 4.91… he better grab some more headlines because his lack of athleticism is being exposed. He’s an undersized “gamer” in the truest sense and at this point a gamble pick that comes with a circus that some teams don’t want.
Michael Sam also only benched 17 reps. Again, for comparison purposes Clowney was ripped for 21 reps…
Aaron Donald ran a 4.65 40 yard dash (280+ lbs)
Kony Ealy (the Mizzou DE you don’t remember) ran a 6.83 three cone drill, the best of his group.
For Cowboys fans, Jerry Jones is doing interviews. He has clarified that he will not be stepping down as his own general manager. Ever.
Khalil Mack came out with an official 4.65 40-yard dash
Yesterday SDSU RB Adam Muema left the combine for good because “God told him” he’d be drafted by the Seahawks. Talk about faith!

News and notes from Sunday’s drills at the 2014 NFL Combine. Let’s get you up to speed in case you missed anything.

Jadeveon Clowney only put up 21 reps on the bench press.
De’Anthony Thomas ran an unofficial 4.34 in his first 40 yard dash.
Carlos Hyde ran a 4.66 40 yard dash.
Jordan Lynch’s 6.55-second three-cone drill is best in Combine history for a QB (Tim Tebow 6.66 seconds)
Dri Archer ran an OFFICIAL 4.26 40-yard dash. Chris Johnson is still the champ.
Johnny Football ran a 4.56 in the 40-yard dash today. For comparison, that’s only 0.01 second slower than Russell Wilson.
37% of fans polled on NFL.com say that Greg Robinson had the best combine so far.
Odell Beckham ran a 4.31
Mike Evans ran a 4.47
Brandin Cooks helped himself more than any other player with a 4.31 40 yard dash and 3.81 shuttle. He also did 16 reps. Could he slide in the first round?
There is some crazy rumor of Sammy Watkins going #1 overall to Houston.

Random news and notes from the 2014 NFL Combine. Just in case you missed anything, we got you all caught up.

Cyrus Kouandjio has an arthritic knee. He is expected to fall into round two now. Is Alabama’s system putting too much wear and tear on these kids?
Colt Lyerla looks a lot like Aaron Hernandez in this photo.
Greg Robinson tested insane, running a 4.88 and 4.84 40 yard dash and benching 225 lbs 32 times.
Michael Sam wants to be known as a football player, and no longer “the gay football player.” Sudden change of heart on the attention?
Jace Amaro clocked in at a less than respectable 4.74 in the 40, not blazing fast for a tight end anymore.
Eric Ebron ran a 4.6 to compare to Amaro.
Teddy Bridgewater opted out of throwing at the combine.
Taylor Lewan ran a 4.85. These linemen have obviously tested the best of any group in combine history.
Teddy Bridgewater also weighed in at only 214 lbs. In comparison, Johnny Manziel is 5’11 203 lbs.
This is probably the deepest draft class in almost a decade. Mike Mayock predicts there will be 10 starting receivers taken before the third round.
Mike Evans and Kelvin Benjamin came in at a legit 6’5 230 and 240 respectively. Expect a team you’d least expect to draft a receiver to grab one of these guys early. You heard it here first. A team with seemingly no WR need is going to stash one of these big kids.
