margusNow that the playoffs are drawing to a rapid close and many teams are officially eliminated, it is time for draftniks and fans alike to get deep into their 2013 NFL Mock Drafts. If you haven’t done so be sure to create yours today.

With that said, some guys are finally getting recognition as they should. One of such guys is SMU’s Senior defensive end Margus Hunt.

For those of you that may be unaware let me just run down what Margus did just in the first half of the Hawaii Bowl vs Fresno: 2 tfl, 2 sacks, 2 ff, and a safety. That’s just one incredible performance.

Hunt finished the year strong but didn’t put up eye popping stats. He’s a fringe first rounder due to his high production levels, size, and athleticism (runs about a 4.6). The potential for a guy like this is huge. Just think, what if you could get a defensive end with Mario Williams like potential with the 30th pick in the draft?
