Hines Ward Retires

Looks like the Steelers are going to really be needing the services of Mike Wallace in 2012.  Team stalwart, veteran leader, and all around Steeler legend Hines Ward has decided to dance off into the sunset today.   He will retire rather than be cut and play for a different franchise.

Ward will always be remembered as one of the games most feared blockers, who often blindsided opposing players with crack back blocks.  He has two Super Bowl rings, a Super Bowl MVP, but probably will not make the Hall of Fame.  His 12,000 yards and 85 touchdowns are impressive but it is a stretch when Chris Carter and Tim Brown are still waiting on that call.
